It's been a few days since I've posted any patch/updates... and I know we are ALL eager to roll mini-app, here's where we stand:
Over the last week both Phe and I have been assigned aggressive work schedules and have been trying to resolve issues with Voice Chat... but we've had little time to do so. Not until Voice Chat is functioning properly will we proceed to mini, and we're hoping to do so this weekend. Per our original credo, Hash Humanity will not fork or duplicate other author's code so in that spirit, we have had to build the entire SFU/ICE/STUN framework for voice communication from scratch, which is no small task. Over the last 16 days we have re-worked Discussions Room & the Cloudflare worker over 400 times, debugging tracks and subscription functions. Suffice to say this was a very ambitious undertaking, seeing as we could have incorporated third party solutions like JAM/MediaSoup + Pantry similar to other decentralized platforms like HiveTalk/NostrNests. I assure you this lengthy yet stressful leg of race will return dividends for our community, securing our source code and keeping Hash Humanity "home grown". We dont copy others, we blaze our own trail. Going into this weekend Phoenix and I will be continuing to carefully debug and edit each aspect of the voice coms and inevitably we will get it up and running and I'm hoping by the weekend we will find success and begin wrapping the mini-app. -Sai
