On this Eid al-Adha moment, we can draw a valuable lesson from the story of Prophet Ibrahim. In life, everyone has their own “Ishmael” — something deeply loved and closely attached to them. That “Ishmael” may be wealth, status, a spouse, children, or even one’s own ego. Yet in reality, none of these truly belong to us; they are merely trusts entrusted to us by God.
