Banks and private companies (a consortium) have already launched OpenUSD, a new stablecoin that will compete with USDC, USDT, and other stablecoins. It is expected to go live later in 2026.

The good thing about it is that the reserve income will be shared among the businesses and platforms that adopt and distribute it. Hopefully, some platforms like World App will also decide to share part of that income with their users.
